Elevated levels of endometrial lactate dehydrogenase in hyperplasia and carcinoma of human endometrium.

چکیده
Total láclatedehydrogenase levels and M-type subunits of this enzyme were greatly increased, compared with normal values, in hyperplastic endometrium. The levels of láclatedehydrogenase in 43 cases of hyperplastic endome trium were similar lo Ihose in 3 cases of carcinoma of ine endometrium. The findings suggest that a biochemical relationship exists between hyperplasia and carcinoma of endometrium.

Background: Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is the most common gynecologic malignancy however, mechanisms underlying its pathogenesis remain obscure. Endometrial carcinoma has been classified into two major categories: type I (related to estrogen or endometrioid adenocarcinoma) and type II (unrelated to estrogen). Estrogen is the main trigger for the abnormal proliferation in the endometrial epithel...
متن کاملبررسی بروز PTEN بهروش ایمنوهیستوشیمی در آندومتر پرولیفراتیو نرمال، هیپرپلاستیک و کارسینوم آندومتریوئید
Background: Endometrial carcinoma is the most common malignancy of the female genital tract. Different molecular alterations have been described in endometrioid endometrial carcinoma that, the most frequently altered gene is mutations of PTEN. Up to 50-83% of endometrioid carcinoma reveal altered PTEN characterized by loss of expression. In endometrial hyperplasia, which are precursors of endom...
متن کاملStromal p16 expression is significantly increased in endometrial carcinoma
p16 is a negative regulator of cell proliferation and is considered a tumor suppressor protein. Alterations in p16 protein expression are associated with tumor development and progression. However, the p16 expression status in the peritumoral stroma has not been investigated in the endometrium. Therefore, we evaluated stromal p16 expression in different types of endometrial lesions using immuno...
متن کاملThe levels of Serum Alkaline Phosphatase and Lactate Dehydrogenase in Hodgkin Lymphoma
Background: Hodgkin’s disease (HD) is a neoplastic disease originating in lymphoid tissue, which spreads to lymphoid structures and ultimately nonlymphoid tissues. Lactate Dehydrogenase and Alkaline Phosphatase are increased in blood following membrane cell damage. The aim of this study was to compare Lactate Dehydrogenase and Alkaline Phosphatase levels in children in different stages of Hodg...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical Expressions of ER, PR and ALDH1 in Endometrial Hyperplasia and Carcinoma
Epithelial stem/progenitor cells are considered as cancer initiating cells which has been detected in human endometrium, may initiate and progress endometrial carcinoma. Targeting cancer-initiating cells would be necessary to improve cure rates. The relation of endometrial adenocarcinoma and stem cell markers expression has not been reported yet, in spite of ALDH1 expression is frequently alter...
